Have a Pool Emergency?

If you have called our office and are having a pool emergency, this page is to help you until we can return your call.

My Pump is Running Without Water

If your pump is running without water going through it, the first step you should take is to turn off your pool pump. Most pool pumps have a button on them that you can push to turn off the pool pump. If you cannot figure this out, you can also turn off the power for the pool pump. Next to your pool pump is usually an electrical subpanel that has breakers inside it you can turn off. If you cannot find the subpanel next to your pump, you should still be able to turn off the pool pump from the main electrical panel.

My Pool is Overflowing

The most likely reason a pool is overflowing is because the autofill on the pool has stopped working, or there has been a severe storm and rain is causing the pool to overflow.

In either scenario, the best thing you can do is turn off the water to the pool. This can be done by turning off the autofill which is connected to your water line for your house. To turn off the autofill, this video should help you locate it until we can get back to you to advise you on what to do.

Electrical Cables Are Loose on my Pump

In the case you observe loose electrical cables at your pump or see any sort of sparking at the pump, the best thing to do is turn off the power to the pump. Next to your pool pump is usually an electrical subpanel that has breakers inside it you can turn off.
